Oh, the survival thriller. How it has evolved over time. We all read Hatchet, Lord of the Flies, and The Call of the Wild in school, right? Terrifying. Gripping. Had me practicing my fire making skills in the backyard, which my parents were THRILLED about!!! Personally, I think I learned a lot. But my parents wanted me to keep it to the “EXPERTS” in the books… SIGH!!!

OMG. This TikTok famous book is gorgeous historical fiction that will seriously keep you up ALL NIGHT. Queenie and Maddie are one of my fav duos of all time. “World War 2 spy thrillers aren’t my cup of tea” – me, sounding like and absolute FOOL, before I read this masterpiece.

Yellowjackets is my go-to high-schoolers-plane-crash-in-a-remote-place show. Mix that with the epic classics Survivor (46 seasons and going strong) and Lost, and you get When We Were Lost. This pulse-pounding survival story will make you want to rejoin your local scout troop ASAP, PEOPLE!!!!
