Everything You Need to Know About The Cruel Prince Editions

The rumors are true. There’s not one, not two, but three beautiful covers of The Cruel Prince by Holly Black! They’re all so stunning that we can’t choose a favorite. Here are all the details on each edition:

This is the original cover. It’s the one you’ll see at online retailers, bookstores, etc. We like it because it’s clean and classy but still with edge. The gold foil is so nice. The case cover (what’s underneath the dust jacket) is black.

This is the Barnes & Noble exclusive edition. It’s the exact same as the original cover except the colors are switched. We like it because it’s dark and mysterious! It also includes a special short story by Holly Black with purple ink, featuring characters from Tithe. The case cover is white.
 

This is the OwlCrate exclusive cover. OwlCrate is a monthly subscription box service and they feature exclusive covers of a recent release. The Cruel Prince was their January pick! This was actually an earlier cover concept of The Cruel Prince so it’s super fun to see it in the wild. We love that it gives a different vibe but it’s still equally amazing. The box is unfortunately sold out but sometimes they have sales of past boxes.
