So, it’s happened. You’ve finished Quicksilver and now you’re left with the book hangover of all book hangovers. In my significant experience in this area, the only surefire cure for a book hangover is to find another book that will scratch the itch. Hair of the book that bit you, so to speak. As someone who has survived the Quicksilver book hangover and is currently thriving (literarily), here are some recommendations to see you through yours. Happy reading!
Well, I mean, obviously. What do you mean you haven’t read Brimstone yet?? Quicksilver ended on that monster of a cliffhanger and you’re here looking for other books to read? You could be reading Brimstone right now!!!
If you vibed with the breakneck pace and bloodthirsty nature of Saeris Fane’s introduction, you need to meet Meryn Cooper. I can promise she will gag you, literally. Also, Stark Therion, the man you are.
If you enjoyed being yanked into a strange, new world with warring factions and life-or-death stakes, you should check out Kissed by the Gods. While the winged horses may be slightly more vicious than everyone’s favorite fox, they’re still ridiculously cool.
Now, if enemies-to-lovers of the vampiric kind is what you’re after, may I introduce you to Kidan and Susenyos. I’ve lost track of the number of times these two have tried to kill each other. Clearly, their aphrodisiac of choice is violence.
Kingfisher is 100% certified Shadow Daddy material, but is he a literal prince of Hell? Because, you know who is, Wrath. And Wrath has brothers, six of them. Just saying.
Did someone order a prince of darkness with a haunted past? (I’m sensing a theme here.) The Labyrinth vibes are definitely strong here, and that is major plus in my book.
Please note: Dream by the Shadows, Immortal Dark, and Kingdom of the Wicked are Young Adult titles. Brimstone, Dire Bound, and Kissed by the Gods are New Adult titles.
