Starting out with a graphic novel that takes the dead in dead sexy a bit literally with a love triangle between a necromancer, a resurrected bride, and her very-much-alive groom. This graphic novel sucks you into its world with gorgeous illustrations, magical elements, and a heart-stopping love story (wink wink). The love triangle is messy and beautiful and so different from a lot of books out there now, I highly highly recommend you give this one a go!!

Ok elephant in the room… yes vampires are ~technically~ dead, but I will not let a technicality keep you or anyone who will talk to me away from this series. Let me start by saying it is revered and talked about endlessly for a reason. Edward Cullen is the OG yearner!! And despite his best efforts to keep Bella Swan safe he simply cannot stay away. If you still 20 years later have not read this book, let this be your sign, and if like me you have picked this book up many a time, also let this be your sign to reread because it simply never gets old!

Don’t let the fact that there are mermaids in this story mislead you… this is not Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Like the title of this blog The Wicked Sea is dead sexy. Emphasis on dead and sexy;) A dark and sultry romantasy about a mermaid who battles hatred (and lust;)) for the wretched warlock who saved her life, after sentencing her to death (yes their relationship is a bit complex). As they embark on a journey to find a mystical heart they must learn to fight and trust each other, or there are worse things awaiting them than just death…

Well, if a handsome fae prince was the one offering ME a bargain in order to find my missing sister, sorry seems like a win-win to me. Ok I’m sounding a bit naïve, and I should know better after reading this and seeing how that worked out for Sabrina. Like we all know there is always a cost, and if this bargain doesn’t cost Sabrina her life, it will certainly cost her heart.
