Shanita Hubbard

SHANITA HUBBARD is an acclaimed writer, adjunct professor of sociology, Soros Fellow, and recipient of the James Baldwin writing residency. Her work has been published in the New York Times, Essence, Huffington Post, The Guardian, Pitchfork, and more. She was featured in the On the Record documentary and is a clinical consultant for therapists. Hubbard is also a proud HBCU graduate and a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. Her greatest accomplishment is being the mom of a dope Black girl.
